Teaching youth the essentials of financial literacy — budgeting, saving, investing, and more — one community at a time.

The Penny Power Project was founded in the spring of 2025 with one goal in mind: to educate the youth about life's most important topic — financial literacy. In many places across the US, financial literacy is often an overlooked topic, leaving countless communities vulnerable to economic and financial exploitation, trapping them in financial insecurity and debt.
Studies show that close to 50% of Americans are financially illiterate, and we aim to change that.
See our programs →The Penny Power Project teaches about the essentials of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, investing, loans, credit vs. debit, and other important topics.
Students learn how to create budgets, set savings goals, and understand wants vs. needs.
From risk vs. reward to diversification, students explore the fundamentals of growing money.
Understanding credit cards, debit, interest rates, and how loans work in the real world.
To make learning fun, we use activities, videos, and examples to help conceptualize what is being taught and make it engaging for the children. By teaching the next generation of students about financial literacy, we can empower students to take control over their futures and make informed financial decisions.
We continue to partner with school communities, libraries, and other community centers as we expand nationwide. If you are looking to partner, please consult our outreach and contact page.
